What we do:

We collaborate with small businesses, universities, and independent inventors in true partnerships to obtain and license patent rights.  Our range of expertise allows us to provide a full range of intellectual property related services, including: product analysis, R&D support, patentability research and opinions, market analysis, patent drafting, filing, and prosecution, licensing and technology transfer, and litigation.

Why us:

Traditional professional services providers work with inventors and entrepreneurs under a fee-based compensation arrangement. Because the service providers’ are paid for their time and do not have a personal stake in the outcome of the project, this working relationship represents a serious misalignment of interests among the two parties, which often leads to sub-optimal outcomes.  For example, law firms charge an upfront hourly rate of $300-$600 for patent related work, regardless of the outcome. In contrast, we offer our services in exchange for equity in the project. This equity-for-service model of compensation not only ensures that our interests are in alignment with the inventors’, but also frees up the scares cash for startup companies to focus on growing the business.
